Assigning Shipping Types for linksync eParcel for Magento

There are two options for configuring how linksync eParcel for Magento can apply eParcel shipping to orders in your Magento store:

a. Apply a single eParcel shipping type to all orders coming into your store. This works with your existing shipping methods, including M2E Pro, and is useful if you only use one type of shipping option with eParcel. eg. you ship all orders Express Post. See below for how to configure linksync eParcel for Magento for this option.

b. Apply specific eParcel shipping methods to different shipping options. This also works with your existing shipping methods, but you can apply a specific Australia Post charge code to each shipping method. eg. if you offer standard and Express Post as options on your checkout, or you use M2E Pro with multiple shipping methods. See below for how to configure linksync eParcel for Magento for this option.

1. Apply a single eParcel shipping type to all orders coming into your store.

This works with your existing shipping methods, including M2E Pro, and is useful if you only use one type of shipping option with eParcel.

If your shipping options are simple and you only offer eParcel standard OR eParcel Express Post, but not both, then this option will get you up-and-processing eParcel orders very quickly.

To configure, go to eParcel >> Settings >> Configuration

Scroll down until you find Apply eParcel shipping to all AU orders and set it to Yes.

When you set the above option to yes, a new field Default Charge code for above orders will appear. Enter the default Australia Post Charge Code you want to apply to all orders, and then Save the updated configuration.

Now any current orders with a status of Pending or Processing, and any new orders, will appear in the Consignment view ready for processing with linksync eParcel for Magneto.

2. Apply specific eParcel shipping methods to different shipping options.

This option works with your existing shipping methods, but you can apply a specific Australia Post charge code to each of your shipping method.

So if you offer In-store pickup, Standard Post, and Express post on your store, and you also have one or more M2E Pro shipping methods, this option lets you assign a different Charge Code to each method to determine the appropriate shipping type for the order.

Note: when you create a new shipping type for your site, you must first created a order using that new shipping type for it to show under shipping 'method' above.

To configure, go to eParcel >> Settings >> Assign Shipping Types

Click the Add New button to create a new shipping type rule.

Select the shipping Method this new rule is to apply to, along with the Australia Post Charge Code that will apply to this shipping method, and then Save. Repeat this process for any other shipping methods you want to manage using eParcel.

Now any current orders with a corresponding shipping method and a status of Pending or Processing, along with any new orders, will appear in the Consignment view ready for processing with linksync eParcel for Magento.
