Order Syncing Settings

This page covers the various options available when syncing orders between Vend and WooCommerce.

 

You access the product sync settings using the linksync link found under the WooCommerce menu. 

Order Syncing Type

Use these settings to set your order syncing method. Please refer to Syncing options for choosing the right order syncing option for your business. 

Order Status

In the case of Vend orders being imported into WooCommerce, use this option to select the default status of the order when it's imported. In most cases you will set this to 'Completed'.

If you're exporting orders from WooCommerce to Vend, then use this option to select what status the order must be before it is exported. Keep in mind that an order can only be exported to Vend once, and once exported, it can not be edited in Vend. 

Outlets, Registers & Users

(WooCommerce to Vend only)

If you have multiple Outlets in Vend, use this option to select which Outlet you want orders from WooCommerce to be associated with when importing into Vend. 

In addition, if you have multiple registers and users for an outlet, you can also choose which register and/or user you want the orders to be imported against. These options are particularly useful if you want to keep you online store orders independent of your standard register sales. 

These options will only display if you have two or more options enabled in Vend for an Outlet, Register or User. 

If you are syncing orders from WooCommerce to Vend, then you may want to be able to easily report on what sales are originating from WooCommerce. You can do this by having dedicated Registers and/or Users and/or Payment types that are specifically associated with WooCommerce orders, and setting those on linksync Order Sync Settings.

Tax Mapping

When syncing orders, both Vend and WooCommerce have their own tax configurations - use these Tax Mapping settings to 'map' the Vend taxes with those in your WooCommerce store. 

Payment Mapping

When syncing orders, both Vend and WooCommerce have their own payment methods - use these Payment Mapping settings to 'map' the Vend payment methods with those in your WooCommerce store. 

Customer Export

If you'd like customer data, such as name, email address and shipping and billing address, to be included when importing/exporting orders, then select Export Customer data option. 

If on the other hand you're not interested in including the customer information, simply select the Export as 'Cash Sale' option.
